A
world-wide survey carried out by the ‘New Scientist
Magazine’ which surveyed over 72,000 smokers
found that Hypnosis was the most effective form
of smoking cessation (stop smoking) over every other method.*
Will power had a success rate of only six percent. There
are many reasons for this, I believe that one of the
strongest is hypnotherapy’s ability to access
the unconscious mind where behaviours originate. If
a person was capable of consciously altering their behaviour
then that individual would do so. It’s clear to
all who smoke that it is dangerous and has no real benefits
at an intellectual level. This means that there must
be unconscious forces at play, otherwise this conscious
reasoning would prevail and the intelligent being would
cease doing this irrational activity.
Some of the key benefits of smoking
cessation are that in only four days all traces of nicotine
will be gone from your body, it’s both encouraging
and motivational to notice these benefits as one goes
along.
